No, short-term medical insurance is different than ACA plans and cannot be purchased on the federal or state Marketplace exchanges. Health insurance plans on a state exchange, the federal Marketplace or in the private marketplace are health insurance policies that offer 10 essential benefits required as a result of the Affordable Care Act. Short-term medical insurance is not required to offer these 10 essential health benefits but still offers some coverage for many of the same services.
